If the Covid-19 bullshit has taught one lesson...look above. Think about all the healthy, non-compromised 20-40-something people who blindly ran and huddled on command, right after the two-week (and on) hoarding and "panic buying" frenzy that denied seniors and older citizens, as well as those financially unable to "panic buy" gross amounts of EVERY product that might help prevent the most vulnerable of the population avoid or minimize their already compromised ability to avoid sickness or death, including the working public not able to crash the grocery/chain store until the weekend, about 6 days late as it turned out...! Weeks in to this lunacy, the toilet paper/paper towel/napkin aisle at the local chain market is still empty, and the only way people over 60 can get any (ONE) is be in line at 0600 with 60 other "over-60" folks and 20 at a time, go in and buy asswipe and paper towels, maybe some Clorox wipes, no hand sanitizer...if you wait until 0800 to go, there are none of the above, what is remaining after 0700 is gone in minutes, after the "general population" is set free.
Never in my 6.3 decades on this rock have I witnessed such gluttony, selfishness, self-importance, arrogance, and most of all, utter disregard and disrespect for anyone other than self, and a particular laser-guided vitriol toward the dreaded "boomers", you know, the generation who single-handedly ruined the world for all these blind, self-important, crying, little bitches. It damn sure changed the way I look at younger people, e.g., teens, 20's, 30's, particularly those will smartphones and data plans and a mainstream social media account or eight...added a shitload of anger and comtempt that ALREADY wasn't present prior to this, I can tell you that...
What ever happened to putting someone else before self, especially if you have more than you need? I realize that the youngsters from the '80s and early '90s were a lot more spoiled than my generation of kids, but I truly didn't see this degree of ME ME ME...I probably just wasn't looking, but can bet your ass, your wife's ass, and the entire North 40 that I'm looking now...other thing I see...mid-late 30 to 40-something and older ONLY one's interested enough to even goddamn call and check on others, outside contact on their favorite social media MOBILE apps (you ain't on one of those, not much contact), let alone give something they might have extra of...whether it's family, neighbors, someone in need...it's wholly appalling to me, I was raised different. Thanks, Dad. Again.

Some people call these sins...I prefer to look at them as windows into human nature, or the what-not-to-do list. If one truly wants to define human nature, these factor in, hugely. They can be either learned, or naturally occuring. Repetitative practice of any or all accounts for right at 100% of the problems humankind battles for and against, every day, and have since the Garden of Eden or the dank, dismal swamps, your choice there. Bank that, kids. That's as sure as sunset tonight. Although it wasn't much of a problem when these words were penned, I feel they could be adequetely supplemented with the addition of "entitlement"...then it could be termed, correctly, the eight building blocks to full progressive liberal.
